Fun Ways To Spice Up Your Instant Chia Seed Pudding

Posted on: 25 November 2020

Chia seeds are among the healthiest snacks you can eat. If you find yourself in the mood for something other than simply chia seeds, however, one option is to make instant chia seed pudding. There are several ways to add variety to your instant chia seed pudding recipe.

Flavored Chia Pudding

If you would like to give your chia seed pudding a chai flavor, add cardamom, cinnamon, and matcha powder. This will make the pudding very aromatic. Or, if you would like a coffee flavor, add an instant coffee mix.

Chia Pudding with Fruit and Nuts

Sliced fruit can pair well with the healthy chia seeds. Bananas, berries, nuts, and pistachios all pair well with chia pudding. If you are making nut-free pudding, use non-dairy milk. Adding hemp to the pudding will make it even more nutritious. Granola and jam also work well with chia pudding.

Chocolate Chia Pudding

If you would like to make your pudding sweeter, consider adding cocoa powder. If you want to make chocolate pudding without the tapioca texture, placing it in a blender will give it a more smooth texture. The blender will also cause the chia pudding to become thicker. The pudding will remind you of chocolate cake batter.

Ice Cubes

Freezing coffee or almond milk into ice cubes can be a great way to transform your pudding into a cool treat and also add extra flavor. You'll simply need to plan ahead. If you like the results, simply keep a tray of ice in the freezer at all times for when you need it. If you add enough ice cubes, you can turn the pudding into a milkshake. However, if you forget the ice cubes, you can always add the almond milk and place the pudding in the fridge to chill it the normal way.

Chia Pudding Aesthetics

The chia seeds can come in different colors, and you may want to choose the right type of seeds if you are feeding a picky eater. For example, you may be better off with white chia seeds than with black "fish-eye" chia seeds.

The great thing about a chia pudding recipe is that you do not have to include refined sugars, gluten, or dairy. You can experiment with your pudding until you find a blend that is perfect for you. Make sure to run the blender at the highest speed to make the pudding as smooth as possible.
